Privacy Policy

Your data, your control.

AI Code Usage is built on a simple principle: we only collect what we need to show you your dashboard, and nothing more.

1. What we collect

When you use AI Code Usage, we collect only aggregate usage metrics synced from the code-usage CLI:

  • Total cost, session counts, token counts, and message counts per provider
  • Daily aggregate totals (no per-session or per-prompt breakdown)
  • Device identifiers for multi-device sync
  • Your email address (via Google Sign-In) for authentication

We do not collect your code, prompts, file paths, project names, or any content from your AI coding sessions.

2. How we use your data

  • Display your personal dashboard with spend and usage trends
  • Compute leaderboard rankings (if you opt in)
  • Show your public profile page at /p/<handle> (if enabled)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share individual-level data with third parties.

3. What is public

By default, your leaderboard ranking and chosen display handle are visible on the public leaderboard. You can disable this at any time in Settings > Privacy. Your email address is never exposed publicly.

4. Third-party services

  • Firebase Authentication (Google) — handles sign-in. Google receives your email and basic profile info per their privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — hosts and serves the application. Cloudflare may process request metadata (IP addresses, headers) per their privacy policy.

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party cookie-based tracking.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Account, which permanently removes all your data including usage history, device registrations, and profile information. Per-device data revocation is also available.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the application.
